"S: Everything has limits. P: So does your scope for action, Your Majesty. S: Every transgression has explosive potential. P: It is political dynamite. S: Don't burden yourself with such unsavory things as the truth. P: After all, you already have enough on your plate. S: You represent and we direct. P: Analyze. S: Structure.

P: Organize. S: Regulate. P: Intrigue. S: Banalize. P: Limit. (Scaphio & Phantis)

"Human love is great. He sings about it in the highest tones. But modern robotics follows data and logic, I can't get used to feelings. But suddenly my memory is full. And I ask myself: What is love?
My battery is empty, but the voltage is running through my gears with volts and amps. If I had a heart, I would know that I was bleeding to death, because I beat the beat at 200 beats per minute, hanging myself, unhurt. Love needs to be reinvented! (Fitz Battleaxe. Love 2.0)

A PUNK OPERETTA WITH CHOIR AND OPERA SINGING

Utopia, washed by gentle waves, is an island full of joy and idleness. But the idyll is deceptive and at second glance decay and lethargy are revealed. Clever minds have made use of the standstill. The form of government of dynamite-driven despotism (which allows the king to be blown up at any time if he defies the will of his people) has been infiltrated by dubious advisors. Only ambitious ideas from other parts of the world can help. The flowers of progress are imported and thrive - with all their side effects and collateral damage. A crazy dance of power, influence and botched business deals takes its course.

Operetta meets punk - wild drum beats meet opera singers and the choir calls for revolution. The explosive mixture is ready. The Schlossplatztheater, known for its unusual musical theater productions, and The Metafiction Cabaret took "Utopia Ltd. or the Flowers of Progress" - an ancient operetta from 1893 by the then famous dream team Arthur Sullivan and William Schwenck Gilbert and catapulted it into the 21st century!

The premiere was in 2019 in the Reinbeckhallen, Berlin

"S: What are you doing here? P: Nothing. And you? S: What should I do? I'm not doing anything either. P: And what else?
S: What else? P: And what else? S: Well, nothing else. What else? P: We are completely superfluous. S: Yes, even the fact that we are still talking here is completely superfluous. P: Nobody listens to us. S: Why should they? P: I wouldn't listen to us either. S: We shouldn't talk, we should do something. P: The flowers of progress are spreading everywhere. Like weeds.
S: But it can't go on like this forever. P: By the time that happens, Utopia will have withered. What can we do?
S: Tell me. P: I thought you were going to tell me? S: We have no chance... But we will use you..."
